The Crown, ON-A’s residential project in Taipei, has been featured in Proarquitectura No. 203, the special issue dedicated to thermal insulation. Located in Datong District, one of the Taiwanese capital’s most significant areas of urban transformation, the development is conceived as a new residential landmark that combines architectural innovation, urban identity and construction excellence.
Designed in collaboration with HPA Architects & Associates for Kingland Property Corporation, The Crown is distinguished by its iconic white exoskeleton of flowing lines, which wraps around the building and culminates in the signature “crown” that gives the project its name. To realise this complex geometry, KRION® was selected for its high-performance properties, including exceptional durability, resistance and thermoforming capabilities, making it an ideal solution both architecturally and in terms of the building envelope’s performance.
