The building is located alongside Badalona’s new canal in El Gorg’s neighborhood. This area has seen an incredible expansion in the last few years and its value has considerably increased thanks to its new dock and the new urban connections to the center of Badalona, becoming an axis that connects the city with the sea. It is also characterized by the variability of uses, unbeatable connections with the city of Barcelona and its airport, great mobility, road development, and quality green areas.
The building is located on a plot that covers 3,077.38 m2. For its definition, we have adhered to the specific volumetry that allows us some flexibility in the interior configuration. The project consists of 108 apartments with 2, 3, and 4 bedrooms that can be grouped into a total of 10 different typologies.
On the ground floor, we find a commercial area open to the canal space, the main access, and part of the building’s parking space which, together with a lower ground floor, includes 154 parking spaces and 108 storage rooms. On the first floor, there is a communal area composed of a swimming pool, a solarium, a green area, and a children’s playground.
Given its proximity to the sea and the canal, we have opted for a horizontal composition of the facade similar to that of the sea waves. The white GRC facade framing the terraces and the brown ceramic facade of the apartments are used to emphasize the building’s chromaticity, reminiscent of nautical designs.
