Urban Oasis is a mixed-use building in Algeria that focuses on matching sustainability with technology. The first two levels are designated to the retail space which connects all the three towers converging in a green courtyard to improve natural ventilation. The curvature of the buildings allows the wind to circulate freely which given the hot weather, that would be an important feature to enhance. Another strategic design choice is the predominance of balconies in all floors, which not only filter the direct sunlight towards the inside, but also allows the user to have a constant contact with the exterior space and benefit from natural ventilation, reducing energy consumption and allowing the inner air to be renovated more often. Green areas are found not only on the ground floor but in the vertical extension of the buildings as well, improving the air quality and comfort for the users.
The nursery on the 3rd floor is strategically located so the children can have exterior green space for activities and gatherings. They can also benefit from the football court located on the ground floor. The hotel hosts several facilities such as outdoor pool and garden, spa, gym, restaurant, two bars and all the rooms benefit from a balcony. Finally the office space is split in two towers with intercalated greenery and generous views.
