ON-A opened its doors at the 48H Open House Barcelona – 2022
October 23, 2022
On Sunday, October 23, 2022, ON-A participated in the 48H Open House Barcelona for its third consecutive year with great success. The architecture festival is held every year in Barcelona and offers a special occasion to visit public and private buildings that are usually not accessible.
Once again, we participated in the 2022 edition with a record number of visitors: more than 350 people. The festival has contributed to spreading the idea that architecture is a collaborative, co-created work, in which all the involved disciplines are relevant. “The League of Professions“, the graphic image of this year’s 48h Open House BCN has made a tribute to the professions by showing the protagonists as superheroes and, thus, paying homage to them.

This year we had the opportunity to explain how INNOVATION is present in our designs, processes, and protocols, and how the organization of our multidisciplinary team combines areas of R&D in parametric architecture and in the management of BIM tools.
We presented our second monograph ON-A. InnovatiON-Architecture, published by ACTAR. An exploration of ideas from the point of view of innovation according to four basic criteria: design, sustainability, emotion, and technology. On the same day, we organized a raffle of the book “ON-A. InnovatiON-Architecture” among all visitors. Congratulations to @pavelstankus, @rosacolet.interiordesign and @veroni_db, the lucky winners.
The public was able to see our most outstanding proposals such as Parc Blau, Nou Parc, Llano Amarillo Waterfront, the Taichung Gateway Park in Taiwan, the Tarragona 2017 Mediterranean Games Masterplan project, or the planning of a city of the future NEOM Mega City.
On-A’s office has 400 m² divided into four sections. An exhibition space dedicated to explaining in a video the 17 years of our trajectory, an area dedicated to 3D printing to develop the most innovative solutions, an area designed in stands where events are held to share knowledge, and an inner courtyard where new technologies such as urban green construction are incorporated.
Thanks to the public for attending and to 48h Open House BCN for having us at this great architecture festival in Barcelona once again.

People visited us: more than 350 people
