TORRE ZENIT is a mixed-use building (residential and services) located in Escaldes-Engordany, near the two rivers, the Valira. It is ON-A’s first project in the Principality of Andorra and offers the opportunity to design an architectural icon and a reference for luxury housing in this region.

The design was very challenging given the context in which it is located. This is precisely why the BIM methodology was the right choice from the start. Its application throughout the process and the centralization in a single model of all the information generated by the various stakeholders facilitated a collaborative work mentality and accelerated the creation and development of the project.

We gave preference to the use of industrial elements, not only for economic reasons, but also because it reduces the construction time. The materials and composition of the facade were chosen with energy efficiency, acoustics, and integration into the Pyrenean landscape in mind.

Torre Zenit is not only conceived as a functional building but also as a project that engages with its surroundings. The careful selection of high-quality, durable materials, combined with a facade design that balances aesthetics and practicality, ensures that the building blends harmoniously with the Pyrenean landscape. Every construction decision has been made to enhance thermal, acoustic, and visual comfort, creating bright, naturally ventilated spaces that allow residents to connect with the natural environment.

The collaborative approach throughout the project has been essential to maintain coherence between design, engineering, and construction. BIM enabled the simulation of various scenarios, the optimization of apartment orientations, and the anticipation of potential challenges before execution, reducing both risks and construction timelines. These strategies, together with careful attention to light, views, and sustainable solutions, ensure that Zenit Tower provides a high-quality, comfortable, and environmentally responsible living experience for its residents and users.

It should be noted that throughout the design process, we have always looked for the most optimal orientation to enjoy the natural light for as long as possible and to have the most beautiful view of the site. With all this, Zenit Tower offers a sustainable vision with maximum comfort for its residents and users.
